At Home
My home is both a prison and a sanctuary. Most days I appreciate living in my lovely house, but other days I feel trapped, hopeless, and alone within its walls. This body of work contains photos of daily life in which I pause to notice to my environment, as a means to bring gratitude into focus. When I pay attention, I find many beautiful snapshots in my home. Through the act of photography, I can stop and allow appreciation for the small things - the way the sun hits the wood floor, the reflection on light in my window, the glistening sun in my sink, and the many textures, colors, shapes, and peaceful moments.
