Plants
Plants are not useless beauty. Plants provide oxygen, food, and shelter. As hunters and gathers, we were naturally drawn to flowering plants for survival, as flowers often yield food. We need flowers for pollination and the survival of our species.
Not only are plants essential to life, but they also can bring great pleasure to our senses through seeing their colors, smelling their sweetness, and touching their soft petals and leaves. I find simple inspiration in flowers and leaves. Henri Matisse said, “There are always flowers for those who want to see them.” Plants are everywhere and there is a magic about pausing in our everyday to notice them.
